Playful
Memory Training
In this course, participants will learn to improve their memory using simple chess patterns and short brain teasers—no prior knowledge of chess is required.
Keynote Presentation: Chess for Seniors
André Vögtlin will visit your organization free of charge to introduce himself and present his concept. He will answer your questions and explain why chess is a valuable activity for seniors.
Training for Your Care and Recreation Team
We would be happy to train your care or recreation team so that you can offer skills training through chess independently and on your own. This will allow you to incorporate chess into your recreation program.

Playing Chess with Enthusiasm
How do I set up the pieces on the chessboard? What chess rules do I need to know? Participants will receive answers to these questions and many more, helping them make chess their passion.
Playing Chess: Advanced Course
In this course, participants build on the knowledge gained in the “Playing Chess with Enthusiasm” course. They learn strategies and tactics to play chess more successfully.

André Vögtlin – an experienced instructor
André Vögtlin teaches several courses at the Volkshochschule beider Basel and brings the necessary expertise to your specific course. He also has many years of experience in the field of social chess, serving as part-time president of the Swiss Chess Federation and chairman of the FIDE Social Commission of the World Chess Federation.
